Create your very own Narnia garden this May at Garden Show Ireland

    Ecological Focus Areas Show Potential for Helping Biodiversity

    report from the European Commission shows that ecological focus areas (EFAs) can contribute to addressing the impact of some farming practices on the environment, by bringing potential positive effects for biodiversity, and for soil, water and climate. The report covers the first two years since the introduction of EFAs in 2015 through new rules governing direct payments to farmers.

      AIPH Approves ‘Garden of Civilisations’ Expo in Turkey

      The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) has approved an application from the region of Hatay in Turkey to host a ‘B Class’ International Horticultural Exhibition in 2021. Expo 2021 Hatay was approved by AIPH on 23 January 2017.

        Euro Trials at Teagasc

        Teagasc has been involved with Euro-Trial since 2008 when it established its first trials. These plant trials are a collaboration between 7 countries in Europe; Netherlands, Germany, France, Britain, Austria, Finland and Ireland. An independent organization in each country grows and arranges judging of the plants

          This week finally brought about the triggering of Article 50 by Theresa May, allowing for the formal procedures of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union to commence. Wednesday marked the beginning of a 2-year period for the terms of the withdrawal to be finalized, with official negotiations between Britain and the European Commission regarding any potential exit package likely to start in early June.
